         During my 25 years with the Maryland State Police I worked several different assignments. My assignments placed me at State Police Barracks over the state as I was promoted up through the ranks to Sergeant. My last 6 years prior to my retirement in 2004, I served as a Sergeant in the State Police. Continued

Most of my fellow pilgrims on the long walk to Compostela didn’t quite know what to make of Robert. He was a Jesuit priest, but he wouldn’t let any of us call him Father. He was brilliant. He spoke at least four languages and seemed to have read a little bit of everything, but he had spent his whole life working among the illiterate and poor. Continued
